Pegasus cruises company is a well established, friendly, family run company whose headquarters are in Tolo and offers leisure one day cruises to the traditional Saronic islands, such as Hydra, Spetses, Poros, Aigina, Agistri, Corinth Canal and the enchanting historic castle of Monemvasia.
Three brothers started the company in 1967 with a wooden caique-style boat, the MANTALENA, with capacity of approx. 50 passengers. The programme differed from one day to another, with picnics & barbeques, swimming and cruises to Hydra & Spetses. This is how the tradition of the one-day cruise started in the area of Argolida.
In 1976 a wonderful wooden ship was built in Tolo by local boat-builders and the help of the three brothers themselves. This was PEGASUS, which quickly grew popular and renowned throughout the area. In 1979 the M/V HERMES was purchased. It was a fibre-glass boat which could cruise at 26 knots and so, the longer cruises to Poros & Monemvasia were added to the programme.
The spacious & elegant new M/V MANTALENA, 45 meters long with availability up to 500 persons, was built to replace HERMES and to continue to offer luxury and comfortable cruises.
In 1997 the ALKYONIS, 40 meters long and with availability of 300 persons was united with the other ships of our company aiming to the tourists’ needs of luxurious and relaxed one day cruises. The company’s main office is in Tolo, near Nafplion. We operate from march until October every year.
Besides our cruises to the islands of Argosaronikos and Monemvasia, the ships are available for a variety of small cruises with a meal on board or even evening cruises. The ships can be chartered by groups, for parties, receptions and celebrations.
